Terms and Conditions

This contract is between Cotswold Lakes Lavender Limited, trading as ‘Cotswold Lakes Camping’ (referred to as “CLC”) and the relevant individual making the booking on behalf of their Group (referred to as “you” or “your”). You shall ensure that all members of your Group comply with these Terms & Conditions. All bookings made are subject to these Terms & Conditions. Your booking will be confirmed once the deposit or any payment required under these Terms & Conditions has been received by CLC in cleared funds. Any booking constitutes acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. You must be 18 years of age or over at the time of making this booking.

Payment

Payment of the full balance of the total cost of your stay is made at the point of booking via our Bedful.com online booking portal.

Cancellation by You

We understand that sometimes things don’t go quite to plan, if you do need to cancel your stay below are our cancellation terms:

If cancelling more than 28 days prior to your stay, you will receive a full credit note or refund for the amount you have paid.  If cancelling between 28 and 15 days prior to your stay, then a full credit note will be issued or a 50% refund can be provided; if cancelling 14 days or less from your stay then a full credit note will be issued but no refund is payable. We reserve the right to refuse any booking or cancel any bookings subject to refunding any sums you have paid without further liability on our behalf.

We strongly advise guests to take out holiday cancellation insurance in advance of their trip.

Cancellation by Us

We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the provision of your stay is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances that amount to “force majeure”. These include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of the property through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic, pandemic and all similar situations beyond our control.

Termination of Stay

You are expected to maintain reasonable and appropriate standards of behaviour at all times whilst at Cotswold Lakes Camping. CLC have the right, at their sole discretion, to terminate your stay if you or members of your group are reasonably believed to be causing a nuisance to the other guests or are not treating the property with due respect. CLC may require all or any such persons to leave the accommodation, without refund and in such an event, CLC will not be liable for making any payment to you and in order to compensate CLC for the nuisance caused will retain all monies paid by you.

Refusal of Entry

CLC reserves the right to refuse entry to any or all guests within the party if these Terms & Conditions are not observed. Any occupancy is for the purpose of a temporary holiday stay only and does not create the relationship of landlord and tenant between you and CLC.

Care of the Property

During your stay you will take good care of your pitch provided to you by CLC. On your departure, you agree to leave your pitch in the same condition of cleanliness and tidiness as at the commencement of your hire.  CLC reserves the right to charge you for any unreasonable loss, damage or extra cleaning to your pitch during or after your stay.  Waste and recycling should be disposed in the correct bins.

Limitation of Liability

CLC accepts responsibility for those arrangements that are within its control but cannot accept liability for any injury, illness, loss or damage suffered by you or any member of your party unless one of the following applies:

  1. There was fraud or wilful default by us or our employees, or
  2. Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of CLC or our employees.

Please notify any shortcomings, complaints or dangerous items and potential hazards to us immediately so that they can be remedied. Claims may be reduced or rejected if we have not been given the opportunity to put matters right or investigate them.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside any toilet, shower or the Taproom. Smoking is however allowed in the outside areas but please place extinguished cigarette ends into the designated waste bin provided.

BBQ

Tray BBQs are not permitted on the Campsite unless cooked within a raised firepit. We have 6 portable, raised firepits available onsite for use with your cooking trays, (we do not provide the wood or lighting equipment), which can be found adjacent to the toilet block.  Please return once finished to allow others to use.  Please ensure that all COOL ash is scooped out and into the bin provided.

Pets

Dogs are permitted on our Campsite.  Owners are required to be courteous to other campers by picking up after your pet (disposing in the bin provided), controlling barking and other noise and keeping your pet on a leash.

Complaints

CLC want you to have an enjoyable stay. In the event of any problem arising on arrival or during your stay holiday, you should immediately bring this to the attention of CLC or its representative and CLC shall, at all times, endeavour to deal with any complaint or query promptly. CLC regrets that claims for compensation cannot be considered after your stay the holiday has ended if there was no such prior notification.

Delay or Failure to Perform

CLC will not be liable to you if we are prevented or delayed in performing any of our obligations to you if this is due to any cause beyond CLC’s reasonable control including (without limitation): an act of God, explosion, severe weather, flood, fire or accident; malicious damage; outbreak of disease; any form of government intervention or a third party act or omission.

Changing These Terms & Conditions

CLC reserves the right to revise and amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. You will be subject to the most recent Terms & Conditions in force on our unless any change is required to be made by law or if we notify you of the change to these Terms & Conditions before we confirm that your booking has been successful.

Data Protection

CLC will only store and use the information you supply to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to collect valuable feedback about how satisfied you were with the services provided. Third Party Rights

These Terms & Conditions are made for the benefit of you and CLC and is not intended to benefit any third party or be enforceable by any third party. The rights of you and CLC to terminate, rescind, or agree any amendment, waiver, variation or settlement under or relating to these Terms & Conditions are not subject to the consent of any third party.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
